She arrived January 19, 2014. Four days after her due date, perfect and pink. She is 5 weeks old as I type this because I am the worst blogger ever. :) It has been amazing having a new baby in the house again. I had heard from many, that the 3rd is "easy" because you already have 2. I'm going to have to say that that statement is not true, for me. Ha! My two boys keep me busy and adding a newborn keeps me even busier! I'm typing this post as she's nursing, so there never seems to be a moment when I'm not multitasking!! A woman I met the other day at a play date emailed me later to say that I am "an amazing multitasker!" I thought, with 3 kids, 4 and under, I have to be! :)
Scarlett is such a treasure, though. She is so much different than the boys. She has been a cuddly and snuggly baby since she came out! She's always wanting to be held close and snuggled; it took me lots of snuggle fests to get my boys as cuddly as she started! That's been the greatest surprise. :)
Being so mother is such a blessing to me. It's not easy and I'm far from awesome at it, but I feel so privileged to be given this gift. I'm so thankful for the wonderful examples of godly relationships that the Lord has brought to my life from the women at church. I had a peace during this pregnancy that I lacked with my other two, until I found out they were boys. I know that I have a lot to learn in regards to raising children, but God has given me the tools (the Bible) and the examples (my Christian friends and fellow mothers) to relieve my fears. I'm ready for the adventures of having a little girl and looking forward to what the Lord has in store for our growing family!!
